Every rescue tells a story. Some start in heartbreak. Others begin in the most unexpected places—like a desert hole in the middle of nowhere. But every story we’re part of has one thing in common: hope.
At Rescue Lyfe, we believe in second chances, in the power of love, and in the quiet miracle of seeing a dog transform when they finally feel safe.
Here are just a few of the incredible stories unfolding this summer—because of people like you.

Lucky & Alli: From a Desert Hole to The Kelly Clarkson Show
Lucky and Alli were found huddled together in a deep desert hole, barely surviving the scorching heat. Thanks to fast-acting volunteers, vet care, and compassionate fosters, these two survivors are now thriving.
Lucky has been adopted and is loving life in his forever home. Alli is still waiting—healthy, happy, and ready for the right person to find her.
Catch their story on national TV! Lucky and Alli will be featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show ABC on Wednesday, June 4. We’re hopeful Alli’s forever family is watching.

Three Little Shepherds: From Crate to Comfort
Born in a homeless encampment and abandoned, three black shepherd pups were placed in a crate by a kind woman who feared for their safety. Though she meant well, the pups were confined without space to play or grow.
Rescue Lyfe stepped in, moved them to a safe location, and got them on the road to loving foster homes in Northern California and Oregon. Their new lives are just beginning.

Sia: Too Spirited for the Coop, Just Right for a New Beginning
Sia, formerly Snowy, a two-year-old husky, wasn’t getting along with the chickens at her home—and when we learned she was suffering from fly strike, we requested her immediate surrender.
Now receiving vet care and recovering in a foster home in Redondo Beach, Snowy is healing, loved, and ready for a home of her own—with no chickens, just kindness.

Sahara’s Long Road to Love
Sahara was roaming the desert, injured and alone after being hit by a car and chased with a hammer. Rescue Lyfe set a humane trap to save her, and many people came together to track her and bring her in safely.
Now adopted by her foster, Sahara is thriving in a loving home—proving that healing happens when community steps in.

Sweet Survivors: Benji & Russ
Benji and Russ—two different dogs, one shared journey. Both were hit by cars. Both lost a leg. Both now carry on with unstoppable courage.
Russ lived in the desert with the homeless and never received treatment for his injury. By the time we found him, amputation was his only option. He’s now safe, recovering, and learning to trust.
In April, Benji was hit by a car. Left untreated for days, he was surrendered to Rescue Lyfe. We rushed him to our vet in Mexicali, where his leg was amputated. He traveled north with other rescues and was adopted in Northern California just five days later. From neglected to nurtured—Benji is now home.
Thanks to your donations, both Benji and Russ received life-saving care. Their strength inspires us every day.

Selah: Desert Survivor, Gentle Soul
Selah was found in the same encampment as Russ—exhausted and overlooked. She was spayed in Mexicali and is now safe, gentle, and thriving in a temporary foster.
She’s great with kids, dog-friendly, and full of love. But she urgently needs a permanent home to make room for the next dog in need.

Avery the Parvo Fighter
Avery was part of a larger litter rescued from Desert Hot Springs. Weeks after arriving at a partner rescue in Northern California, she fell critically ill with parvo.
She’s now hospitalized, receiving emergency care, and fighting for her life. Donations are urgently needed to support her recovery.

Carter: Saved from the Euthanasia List
Terrified and misunderstood in the shelter, Carter had no time left. He was scheduled for euthanasia on May 31—but Rescue Lyfe pulled him just in time.
Calm and quiet on the car ride out, Carter is decompressing in a safe space and beginning his healing journey. He still needs a long-term foster or adopter to continue his progress.

Diamond’s Legacy Shines On
Diamond was more than a rescue—she was the soul of Rescue Lyfe’s drive.
Once in danger herself, Diamond became a cherished family member and the inspiration behind our Gemstone Sponsorship Tiers. Her memory lives on in every dog we save and every donor who steps up to help. You can read about Diamond’s story on our website’s sponsorship page.
Her legacy reminds us that every act of rescue is also an act of connection. You never know how many lives a single dog might touch.

A Look at What We’ve Achieved—Together
Since our founding in early 2023, Rescue Lyfe has saved approximately 125 dogs from abandonment, abuse, and euthanasia. This number is based on internal intake records, foster placements, and adoption logs. While we're continuing to refine our data systems, our impact is clearly reflected in our 92% placement rate and partnerships with trusted rescue networks across multiple states. This work isn’t easy—but it’s worth it. Every dog we save reminds us what’s possible when compassion leads the way.
Here’s how you can help write the next chapter:
Adopt: Open your home to love.
Foster: Be a bridge between heartbreak and healing.
Donate: Help us cover vet bills, transport, and urgent care.
Share: Spread the word and help us reach the right people.
Thank you for being part of our Rescue Lyfe family. Together, we’re rewriting stories every day—one paw at a time.
With gratitude and love,
The Rescue Lyfe Team
